- Grades: 5, 6, 7, 8
- Most students walk or bike to the middle school. It is a 15-20 minute walk. There is parking and public buses.
- Middle schools coordinate services with the town to avoid doubling up amenities.
- Middle schools require around 100 students per grade to support specialized classes (subject-specific). It is important that the grade does not exceed 100 students, or teachers and students won’t feel like they belong there.
- Students are given a 2-3 hour lunch break where they may decide to go home, grab lunch, or see what’s happening in town. The school has a cafe, and there are places to eat on main street.
- Students may volunteer or work at local businesses in the afternoon. There are advanced classes, clubs, sports, and other activities.
